Real Madrid confident of signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane next summer

Real Madrid have identified Harry Kane as their next Galactico and are confident of signing him next summer, according to The Sun. The England striker impressed his Spanish suitors during Tottenham’s 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu in the Champions League on Tuesday. Tottenham are unwilling to part company with the 24-year-old who has emerged as one of the world’s deadliest strikers over the course of the last three seasons.

The north London club have no intention of entertaining offers for Kane, but the same was the case when Real Madrid coveted Gareth Bale and eventually signed him for a then world record fee after a summer-long pursuit back in 2013. Reports earlier this week claimed Spurs would only sell for a fee in the region of £200million, over double what they earned from Bale’s sale, while Zinedine Zidane has admitted he is a fan of Kane.

‘He is a very important player, he is a key player for Tottenham, he is very good at everything,’ Zidane said earlier this week. ‘What he does is always towards the goal, he attacks space at speed. He is a complete player.’ The Spanish champions spent conservatively last summer and having missed out on Kylian Mbappe, who joined PSG, they are determined to significantly add to their squad next summer especially with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema now in their 30s.
