The 2019 gubernatorial candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (LP) in Oyo State, Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has urged Christians to join their Muslim counterparts in prayers to Allah, to heal the world of ravaging coronavirus during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.
Alli also described Ramadan as the month of Mercy, Forgiveness, and freedom from the hellfire.
” It is a chance for Muslims to purify their minds, bodies, hearts and souls by fasting and praying to Almighty Allah.
“I pray we will all be showered with the choicest blessings of Allah and be blessed with prosperity, success and glory”, he said.
While enjoining all Muslims to observe Ramadan in accordance with the dedicates of Allah, Alli also admonished all to seek for forgiveness for their wrongdoings and devoting themselves to Allah.
“The Christian brethren should also join their Muslim brothers and sisters in this period that the humanity as a whole is battling the COVID-19 pandemic to pray to Allah to heal the world”.
He reminded all that Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and a great opportunity for all Muslims to purify their mind, body, heart and soul by fasting and praying to Almighty Allah.
Alli added, “the month is not only for fasting but also for all Muslims to dedicate themselves in self-sacrifice like abstaining from taking drink or food and physical needs, asking forgiveness for their wrongdoings and devoting themselves to Allah.
“May Allah ease our hardships and shower us with loads of peace and prosperity during this holy month of Ramadan and beyond.
“May Allah accept our acts of Ibadah,” he concluded.
