Raheem Sterling top target for Real Madrid

Real Madrid have reignited their interest in England star Raheem Sterling.

The Spanish giants have got Sterling on their transfer wish list for 2019 as they plan to make a huge splash in the transfer market next summer.

Real plan to watch 23-year-old Sterling at Wembley next month when England play Spain and will continue to watch him for the rest of the season.

Sterling is into the final two years of his contract at City and there is no sign of a breakthrough in negotiations.

That would leave City with a big dilemma next year if they have not reached agreement with the stand-off certain to have alerted Real who are watching developments closely.

Sterling was one of England’s best performers at the World Cup which is likely to be the reason Real Madrid are interested again, having been keen even before he moved to the Etihad in 2015.

Real Madrid are not planning to make a bid before the European window shuts on August 31 but they are under pressure to sign big names next year having not brought in stellar names this summer.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard is another player on Real’s wish list as the Belgium forward is also into the final two years of his contract.
