The Imo State police Command has commenced a full investigation into the death of a lady that was killed at a hotel in the state capital, Owerri.
The command spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu, confirmed the murder of the lady who is yet to be identified in a room in one of the popular hotels located at the World Bank area of the state.
Ikeokwu explained that management of the hotel reported to the police that a cleaner in the hotel while on routine cleaning discovered a lifeless body of a young lady under the bed naked.
“Investigation reveals that the deceased lady was allegedly murdered in cold blood by a male guest who checked into the hotel with the lady about a day ago”.
He said the culprit disappeared without leaving any traces as he left with all the belongings of the female victim including her clothes.
He noted that the police have already commenced investigation into the incident to bring the perpetrator to book.
