Some residents of Gambari in Ogbomoso housed by Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo state have been hit by a severe rainstorm on Saturday.
The unfortunate incident have left scores homeless as no fewer than twenty-five (25) houses were destroyed by the storm, while nineteen (19) people sustained injury.
According to a victim of the rainstorm, Abayomi Ishola, the rain which started around 5pm on Saturday was accompanied by heavy storm that led to the damage of many houses.
He added that many people were stranded at their respective locations for the period that the rain lasted, as roofs of many houses were blown off .
While he noted the difficult moment the world is passing through regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the victim lamented that all their properties were destroyed by the storm , making life more difficult for them to cope.
Abayomi, however appealed to the Seyi Makinde led Oyo state government to come to their aid.
