The Oyo State Governor Elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde on Tuesday emphasized the need for effective collaboration of relevant stakeholders at moving the state forward.
The incoming governor stated this while receiving France Ambassador to Nigeria Mr Pasquier Jerome and consular general of France in Lagos, Mr Poloncacox Laurent at his Ikolaba residence.
The France Ambassador and delegates were in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital to congratulate the governor-elect and his deputy, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan of their victory in the just concluded 2019 elections and also, to assist the new administration in the pace setter state.
According to him, both France and Oyo state government will work harmoniously in the area of sports development, agriculture ,economy and educational development for the advancement of the state.
Mr Jerome, also stressed that the government of France will ensure more significant French presence especially in the area of human capital development.
In his remarks, the governor elect , Engr Makinde appreciated the government of France for their visit to pace setter state, just as he promised to work collectively with the government of France to facilitate meaningful developments to the state.
The PDP chieftain further explained that the state is blessed with land which can accommodate both foreign and local Investors to bring much needed development to the state.
The meeting also had in attendance consular general of France in Lagos, Mr Poloncacox Laurent, Professor Mathiew Leila among others.
