Former Governor Rasidi Ladoja was not present as Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State presented staff of office to the elevated Ibadan high chiefs who are now kings.
It would be recalled that Chief Ladoja had expressed his intention not to receive the crown, declaring that he is only eyeing the Olubadan stool.
The ceremony held at the historic Mapo Hall, Ibadan had the Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chiefs Owolabi Olakulehin; Otun Balogun, Tajudeen Ajibola, and Osi Olubadan, Eddy Oyewole as high chiefs who are members of the Council that got the crown.
Others included High Chiefs Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe (Osi Balogun), Abiodun Kola-Daisi (Ashipa Olubadan), Kolawole Adegbola (Ashipa Balogun), Hamidu Ajibade (Ekerin Olubadan), Dada Isioye (Ekerin Balogun), Adebayo Akande (Ekarun Olubadan) and Abiodun Dauda Azeez (Ekarun Balogun).
