PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN star Dani Alves has been suspended for three games after furiously squaring up to a referee.
The Brazilian went face-to-face with Clement Turpin as he allowed his frustration to boil over during the defeat to Lyon on Sunday.
Alves, 34, was angered when a decision was given against him during the Ligue 1 clash.
And he marched straight over to the whistleblower, who reacted by issuing a straight red card.
And the French League (FLP) confirmed tonight that the South American would now miss a hat-trick of games.
Their disciplinary committee met earlier today to determine the punishment.
They have also hit the former Barcelona defender with a further suspended one game suspension.
Manchester United flop Memphies Depay scored with a superb injury time free-kick to secure a 2-1 win for second-placed Lyon over PSG.
That was just the big-spending giants’ second domestic loss of the campaign.
Despite that setback, they still remain eight points clear at the top.
The veteran full-back is now ruled out of this Sunday’s home game against Montpellier.
He will also miss the League Cup semi-final at Rennes on Tuesday.
And he will not be able to play in the trip to Lille on February 3.
Alves joined PSG last summer from Juventus after appearing to be on his to Manchester City.
The ace, who has won 104 caps for his country, previously spent eight years with Barcelona before moving to Italy in 2016.
He shot to prominence after a series of impressive years playing for Sevilla following his move from Bahia in his homeland back in 2002.
