Oyo youth assembly lauds Adeolu Akande on job creation

Chairman of the Oyo State Progressive  Youth Assembly, Com. Musibau Adetunji has commended the Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Adeolu Akande for facilitating jobs for 25 Oyo youths at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

The Youth Assembly Chairman in a statement in Ibadan stated that the organisation was quite impressed with Professor Akande’s unique ways of empowering the youths of the state.

According to him, ” Oyo Youth Assembly has been following your activities for some time and we are quite impressed with the uncommon ways you have been doing what you are doing for the youths of the state even as a non elective public office holder.

“We are aware that before now, many young people in Oyo state have been nominated for training on Information and Digital Technology and scores have secured appointments in federal agencies and institutions through your intervention .

“For us,as an organisation,we had deemed it fit to commend Professor Akande so as to encourage him to do more for young people and also to inspire other public office holders to take a cue from him. We no longer want politicians to distribute motor cycles and grinding machines  for us as empowerment”, he added.

While expressing the desire of the Oyo Youth Assembly to collaborate with the NCC boss on his various Youth empowerment initiatives,Com. Adetunji noted that the youth of the state would always support anyone with genuine commitment to make life meaningful for the people.

“We are ready to partner with you on any initiative that will lead to poverty reduction, employment generation and poverty reduction”, he submitted.
