Oyo Senator, Buhari urges Nigerians to pray for lasting peace

Senator Abdulfatai Buhari representing Oyo North Senatorial District has felicitated with Muslims on this year end of Ramadan and Eid el Fitri celebrations.

 

In a congratulatory message issued yesterday by his media team , Senator Buhari prayed for lasting peace, progress and development in Oyo state and Nigeria.

 

The Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime urged Muslim faithfuls not to limit their prayers and fasting  to Ramadan period alone but make it a periodic exercise as commanded by Almighty Allah and the prophet.

 

“Let the teachings, prayers and lessons of Ramadan reflects in your day to day activities, be at peace with your neighbours and  ensure you sacrifice and devote your time and wealth  to serve God and make people around you happy .

 

“Don’t  allow quest for materialism and power overwhelm your commitment to Almighty Allah but win people to God through your character, contentment and subjection to the will of Almighty Allah”, the lawmaker urged.

 

The re-elected Senator further urged members of the public to give maximum support to the leaders at the helm of affairs at all levels and pray for divine guidance in their assignments.

 

He, however thanked his constituents  for their support before, during and after the last elections,  pledging not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
