Senator Abdulfatai Buhari representing Oyo North Senatorial district has distributed second batch of palliative to his constituent in Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun respectively.
Items distributed include Semovita, rice, soaps and others worth about N30million.
The lawmaker, had on 28th March, 2020 distributed 1500 bags of Semovita and 600 bags of rice through religious leaders , market women and associations to members of the society who are in need.
The Senator’s Director General of Constituency Office, Alhaji Noah Bello while briefing journalists informed that the distribution will follow the same channel as the intention is to share the food items to those who really need it.
“The prolonged stay at home order because of COVID-19 is really affecting people economically and one of the way through which the effect can be cushioned is to tackle the challenges of hunger so as to build a health body and immunity against COVID-19”, he said.
Apart from food items, the lawmaker also donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth millions of naira to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso.
