SIXTY days before the gubernatorial election in Oyo state, another independent poll has tipped Engr Seyi Makinde to win the governorship election in the state.
Contained in a press release issued BH his campaign organisation and signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the latest poll was conducted by Silver stone, the organisers of the annual Miss Oyo and Merit Award Ceremony which announced the results for the five leading gubernatorial candidates in the state.
According to the online poll which spread across the state and involving all cadres of the society, Seyi Makinde of the PDP scored 998 votes ,followed by Sarafadeen Alli of the Zenith Labour Party who polled 585, Adebayo Adelabu of the APC, 541, Femi Lanlehin of the ADC 519 and Alao Akala of the ADP, 249.
The result meant that 36% of the total voters preferred to have Engr Makinde as the next governor.
The award was received on behalf of the PDP candidate by former speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly and Deputy Director General of Seyi Makinde Campaign Organisation, Hon Kehinde Ayoola, who observed that every legitimate indices suggested a clear victory for Engr Makinde on March 2, 2019.
Also, Engr Makinde has advised the APC candidate to stop apologising to the people of Oyo state on behalf of the out going Governor Ajimobi. Makinde was referring to a radio interview granted by the APC candidate.
He said a thousand apologies cannot make up for the sufferings of nearly 8 years, adding that the apologies should be directed at God and not mankind.
Makinde also noted that Adelabu is contradicting himself by apologizing for the Legacy which he has sworn to continue.
