The Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (OMPAN), Oyo state chapter on Tuesday lauded Governor Seyi Makinde on appointment of Tribune’s political editor, Mr Taiwo Adisa as Chief Press Secretary (CPS), describing the governor’s decision as the right choice and a strategic move.
OMPAN, in a congratulatory message jointly signed by its state Chairman, Mr Remi Oladoye and Public Relations Officer, Mr. Dare Adeniran, said, “the new CPS, Mr Taiwo Adisa is an experienced and responsible communications expert.
“Mr Taiwo Adisa is one of the leaders many of us consider as a role model in the media profession and we expect that his involvement in the government will go a long way in projecting the image and policies of the government through effective communication.”
While assuring him of maximum support, the online media group also expressed its readiness for a mutually benefitting collaborations with government, through prompt and effective dissemination of news and other materials on its various platforms.
The group also commended Governor Makinde for the appointment of Alhaji Akeem Azeez as his Personal Assistant, urging him to bring in more credible and responsible journalists into his media team.
“Alhaji Akeem Azeez is trustworthy and a responsible journalist. We are confident that he would not betray the confidence reposed in him by Governor Makinde”, the statement reads.
