There are strong indications that the Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal House of Representatives candidate under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the last general elections, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun may be part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s cabinet.
Barring any last-minute changes, the ADC candidate, Olatunbosun, who lost his election bid and two others have been nominated by the ad -hoc committee secretly inaugurated by Governor Seyi Makinde, Mega Icon Magazine exclusively gathered.
According to an highly impeccable source who confided in our reporter, “when Olatunbosun’s name was mentioned, Governor Makinde said, ‘its not a bad idea’ and his name was included in the list immediately”.
” Wasiu Olatunbosun is one of the nominees ticked for the post of Commissioner for Information “, he said.
However, the source disclosed further that “Olatunbosun is more interested in the Ibadan North West Local Government’s affair”, an ambition he described impossible. “It is settled, the core and loyal PDP members are expected to take control of the councils in the state”, the source added.
It would be recalled that Olatunbosun was the council chief of Ibadan Northwest Local Government under the then Abiola Ajimobi led government.
The former spokesperson and scribe of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) later joined the collation coordinated by former Governor Rasidi Ladoja which eventually adopted Makinde, the PDP guber nominee as their consensus candidate.
