Oyo: NSCDC Arrests 70 Northerners In Ogbomoso

No fever than 70 northerners were on Wednesday intercepted by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

The arrest came less than 24 hours after the Oyo state government vowed to influx of foreigners from other states into the state.

The travelers were coming from Kano, Kaduna, Kastina, and Zamfara states and they were going to Ibadan, Sagamu and Lagos before they were arrested by men of the NSCDC .

The Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun came up with this midweek on phone .

Olatunbosun, who was in Ogbomoso for a 3 day sensitization awareness tourism on the COVID-19 pandemic, said despite the warning by the federal government , people still take to travel from one state to another.
