Oyo Holds 2019 School of Science Exams

The Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology , has concluded all arrangements to conduct the 2019 Competitive Entrance Examination into Schools of Science and Screening/Placement Exercise into Junior Secondary School One formerly known as Common Entrance into JSS I which is scheduled to hold on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th July, 2019 by 7:00am.

The Acting Permenant Secretary of the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mr Idowu Adeosun, disclosed this in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

Mr Adeosun stated further that the venues are the respective Schools of the Candidates, adding that, students/pupils are enjoined to come along with their writing materials to the examinations halls.

He, however, directed that Principals and Headteachers of public and private Junior Secondary Schools are to make proper and adequate arrangements for the invigilation of the examination throughout the period, stressing that, Ministry Officials, Volunteer Monitoring Supervisors and Members of the Oyo State Examination Ethics Committee will be moving round to monitor the exercise and ensure that the integrity of the examination is not compromised.

The Acting Permanent Secretary also implored the students/pupils in their own interest to eschew all forms of examination malpractices stressing that, members of the public are strictly warned against loitering at these centers.

“We are using this opportunity to call on all Principals and Headteachers of public and private Junior Secondary Schools to make proper and adequate arrangements for the invigilation of the examination throughout the period as Ministry Officials, Volunteer Monitoring Supervisors and Members of the Oyo State Examination Ethics Committee will be moving round to monitor the exercise and ensure that the integrity of the examination is not compromised,” he added.
