Oyo govt. restates commitment to security of lives, property

Oyo State Government  has said that it is committed to the protection of lives and property in all the nook and cranny of the state.

Governor Seyi Makinde stated  this on Thursday while addressing journalists shortly after an emergency security meeting held at the Agodi Governor’s office, Secretariat, Ibadan

According to the Governor, the security of lives and property is non-negotiable,  hence the need for the meeting with the security chiefs in the state.

Makinde, also noted that the issue of security is a sensitive one that deserves urgent attention by government and other relevant stakeholders.

Among the Issues discussed at the  emergency security meeting held at the Governor’s office were security challenges in Oke-ogun, spate of kidnapping in the state and threat by some factions of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to stir up trouble.
