Oyo state government will intensify efforts at ensuring clean and safe environment that would attracts both foreign and local investors to the state
The State Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan stated this during this year’s World Environment Day 2019 held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
According to the World Health Organization, WHO air pollution occurs when harmful or excessive quantities of substances including gases,particles and biological molecules are introduced into the earth’s atmosphere.
Delivering his address at the programme, Engr. Olaniyan said the present administration will give priority to the cleanliness of environment so as to reduce diseases and attracts both foreign and local Investors to the state.
He noted that the task of ensuring clean environment can not be left in the hands of government alone but collective responsibility of all and sundry, pledging that government would take proactive steps for rural electrification and provision of alternative renewable energy sources.
Various discussants at the programme also seek effective collaboration of all stakeholders at ensuring friendly environment.
