Oyo governor’s aides donate gifts to less privileged at Christmas

IN commemoration of the Christmas Day, two Special Assistants to the Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi have donated various gift items to less privileged people in the state.

Hon. Taofeek Olanihun and his colleague, Miss Titilope Gbadamosi who both serve under the Community Relations Unit of the governor’s office took to the streets to share food and gifts to needy in the state.

Commenting on the gesture, Olanihun noted that it was important to identify with the poor and needy at all times without necessarily waiting for special seasons or events. “It is everyone’s job to help to put a smile on their neighbors face”, he added. Olanihun has a foundation which supports sports and education in the state.

Also, Titilope, who is known to have a penchant with kids and children with Downsyndrome, was seen to be quite pre-occupied with the kids. She said no child should be left out in the joy that Christmas brings.

In her words, ” this season is for giving, love and warmth. We have come to spend time with these people to show them that regardless of their present state, they are loved and there’s hope for the future”.

Their action is in tandem with the Christmas message of the governor, Ajimobi, who charged everyone to spare a thought for the vulnerable and the needy this season.

The two aides to the governor gave out food, drinks, and gifts to the people.
