THE Oyo State Government has commiserated with the families and colleagues of a seasoned broadcaster, Mr. Tunji Alawaye and the Editor of Nigerian Tribune, Mr. Debo Abdulai over the demise of Mr. Alawaye and Alhaji Abdulai, the father of Mr. Debo Abdulai.
The government through its Commissioner for Information Culture and Tourism, Mr. Toye Arulogun, said that the news of the death of Mr. Alawaye, who was until his death a staff of Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), came as a rude shock to the media family and the government as a whole.
Arulogun sadly expressed, “we are saddened with the news of the death of Mr. Alawaye. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr Alawaye’s family and his entire colleagues on the untimely loss of a dear compatriot in his prime.
“Also, we commiserate the Editor of Nigerian Tribune, Mr. Debo Abdulai over the demise of his father, Alhaji Abdulai. Rather than mourning Alhaji Abdulai, we urge the family, friends and associates to give thanks to God for a life well spent,” the commissioner added..
The commissioner prayed that God Almighty should receive their souls.
