The Commissioner of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) in Oyo State, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela, has congratulated the former governor of Lagos State, Sen. Bola Tinubu on his victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election.
He noted that Tinubu’s contributions to the building of APC as a political party are immeasurable, saying “what a man sow he shall surely reap”.
“Congratulations to our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinumbu a.k.a. Jagaban on your victory today as APC Presidential flag bearer. Your contributions to the building of APC as a political party is immeasurable. What a man sows he shall surely reap”.
The former Oyo Commissioner for Education, in a statement on Wednesday, also called on the aggrieved stakeholders and members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to massively support the party’s governorship candidate, Sen. Teslim Folarin in the forthcoming ballot.
While congratulating all other flag bearers of the party in the state, Olowofela urged them to do everything humanly possible to reconcile all other aggrieved members, adding that “a house that is divided against itself shall not stand”.
“I call on APC members who are disenfranchised one way or the other to bury the hatchet and embrace new dawn in the party. Oyo State APC members should latch on to the dawn of new hope and support Senator Teslim Folarin as an emerging Gubernatorial Candidate in the state.
“Furthermore I seize this moment to congratulate all other Flag bearers for Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly. I pray that you win your elections in the year 2023. Do everything humanly possible to reconcile all other aggrieved members. A house that is divided against itself shall not stand”, the statement said.
It continued, “It is normal to have a disharmony in a political settings like any other family. We fight, we reconcile. We unite to face the bigger political pugilism in the immediate days ahead.
“Remember, united we stand, divided we fall, the statement added.
