Oyo Education Commissioner Gets Award Of Excellence

OYO State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela has added a new cap to his feat as Cornerstone Media International honoured him with an award of excellence.

Presenting the award in his office on Tuesday in Ibadan, the delegation of Cornerstone Media led by Mr Ajibola Afolayan hinted that the maiden edition of awards were given to Senator Adesoji Akanbi, Barrister Adebayo Shittu and other prominent people from Oyo state, adding that Olowofela was among the prominent people recognized this second edition of the award ceremony which officially held last Thursday.

Afolayan stressed that the essence of the award is to spur the awardees to improve their excellence performance in promoting societal development.

In his acceptance speech, the Commissioner thanked the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi for giving him the opportunity to serve in the capacity and also members of the staff who complement his effort.

The ex-concil chief of Ido Local Government Area, Olowofela maintained that it is pertinent for every one to make good use of their positions to serve responsibly. He, however commended Corner Stone Media and promised to do more in advancing educational development in the state.
