Oyo APC Spokesman Renovates Public School, Donates Furniture

The spokesman of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo State, Mr. Olawale Sadare, has made good his pledge to improve the educational facilities at the only Secondary school in Owobaale Community of Egbeda Local Government Area of the state.

Sadare, who had earlier paid a visit to Community High School, Owobaale about two weeks ago where he expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of infrastructure in the school established in 1980 by the administration of late Chief Bola Ige while he promised to give the institution a facelift.

On Monday, the State Public Relations Officer of the APC visited the school again to hand over a block of two classrooms which he personally renovated and equipped with tables and chairs for the use of students in Junior Secondary Schools 1 and 2 to the admiration of students and staffers of the school as well as members of the rustic community.

Speaking at the event, Sadare who was born in the same community over 40 years ago, stated that he was delighted to give back to his root, while urging other privileged persons to complement the efforts of the Abiola Ajimobi led administration to rejig the standard of education in the state.

“Kudos must be given to the Ajimobi administration for the various intervention efforts aimed at revamping the education industry in the state. The introduction of School Governing Board (SGB) initiative is a step in the right direction and it has to be supported by all and sundry”, his statement reads.

Also, the School Governing Board, SGB chairman for the school, Elder Bukola Akinbode commended the donor for remembering his root at a time of need promising to reach out to others within and outside the country to emulate such gesture sponsored by Sadare who he described as a pride of the community.

Earlier in her own remarks, the Principal of the school, Mrs. Mojisola Adebamiji expressed her gratitude to the members of the SGB for attracting the attention of Mr. Sadare to the areas where immediate intervention was needed in the school as she also noted that members of staff would be encouraged by the gesture to work harder and impart positively on the students.
