The All Progressives Congress (APC), Oyo state caucus at the Federal House of Representatives has called on the Seyi Makinde -led government in the state to immortalise the late Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Rt. Hon. Kehinde Ayoola describing him as “a quintessential leader with brilliant qualities”.
The group also commiserated with the government and people of the state on the shocking loss, saying ” Ayoola died while in active service”.
Hon. Ayoola was also a former speaker of the state House of Assembly during the reign of late Governor Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina.
The group, in a condolence message signed by its Chairman on Sunday, Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi, representing Ogo-Oluwa /Surulere Federal Constituency, emphasised that the deceased will always be remembered among acquaintances and friends for his timeless contributions that spanned across varying tendencies, groups and political leanings.
It further noted that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state made a huge progress under his shrewd support and guidance.
The statement added, “It is unfortunate that he had to leave at a time when his experience and knowledge are needed to help the state achieved a pace-setting excellence in her democratic journey.
“At this hour of difficulty, we request you to please accept our sincere condolences and please extend the same to his family and friends. He was truly a gem of a person and a great loss to the state. We are all going to miss him”.
