Oyo APC mouthpiece, Sadare donates borehole to communities.

WITH the aphorism that, he who gives water, gives life and considering the importance of water, the Director of Publicity and Strategy of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Oyo State Chapter, Mr Olawale Sadare today donated borehole to the people of Efunwole Layout/Academy and Texaco/Academy Communities of Egbeda Local Government Area of Ibadan to alleviate the acute water scarcity.

Speaking at the commissioning, the media expert emphasized that the gesture was borne out of the need to give back to the society that made him‎.

‎”I see politics as a means of serving people. Politics should not be seen as a means of amassing wealth; there are opportunities in politics. I was motivated to join politics by the examples some of our leaders have set and not for any other means.”

“Nobody gave me money to undergo this project. No senator or house of representatives’ member sponsored this project. I challenge anybody who knows anybody that has a hand in it to come out”, Sadare said.

He continued,: ” I grew up in this area and I know how water used to be a major problem. Then, you cannot tell when you would come back when you go searching for water.

“Then, you cannot sink well anywhere.‎ We came here in 1978. Water has always been our major problem. So, this project is also a way of giving back”.

Remarking, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ajorosun Local Council Development Area, (LCDA), Mr. Yinka Adeyemi‎ lauded the donor, saying that “you have done well‎.

The leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Egbeda Local Government, Alhaji Babatunde Asunmo‎ said he was surprised by the gesture, urging others in his shoes to replicate such baronial gesture.
