The Oyo State Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Council Diaspora Mobilization and Allien Matters, USA & Asia Directorate have congratulated the president-elect, Senator Bola Tinubu, and his Vice, Senator Kashim Shettima on their well-deserved victories as the President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria respectively at the just concluded polls.
Also, the diaspora campaign council congratulated all the elected All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial and House of Representatives candidates on their victories, urging them to work hard together ahead of the governorship and State House of Assembly election billed for March 11 to ensure that APC takes over power in Oyo State.
In a statement made available to journalists on Friday, and jointly signed by the Council’s Director, Mr Adeniyi Adekola, and the Secretary, Dr MKO Abogun, noted that Tinubu’s victory automatically births the brightness of a new dawn for Nigeria as destiny had placed into competent hands and tested leaders the fate of millions of Nigerians at home and abroad, assuring that the incoming administration would protect the trust the Nigerian people had so graciously entrusted on them.
“No doubt, these elections as yet another substantial step towards further strengthening our democracy, It is our conviction that the decisive victory of Tinubu and Shettima will pave the way for yet stronger and more prosperous Nigeria that they will be able to deliver on the people’s mandate”, the statement said.
The APC group further called on the people of Oyo state to massively support Sen, Teslim Folarin and other APC candidates with their votes come March 11.
“It is obvious that the Seyi Makinde-led PDP government has failed especially in its campaign promises to the good people of Oyo state. Considering his vast experience, we want to assure the residents of Oyo state that Sen. Folarin, as a governor will put an end to PDP administration and insecurity.
“As it stands, Folarin is the only candidate that can salvage the state from its present precarious situation, we, therefore, appeal to Oyo residents to vote en mass for Senator Teslim Folarin on March 11 as well as all other candidates seeking elective positions in the state from top to bottom under the platform of APC”, the statement added.
