Oyo: Anxiety Grips Other APC Aspirants Over Tegbe’s Guber Ambition

THE governorship ambition of Joseph Sunkanmi Tegbe has created unease within the ranks of All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Oyo state.

Mega Icon Magazine confirmed the palpable tension and anxiety within the aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) following Tegbe’s expression of interest to vie for the apex seat in the state.

About four weeks ago, Oyo residents noticed some posters, billboards and campaign materials announcing fresh electoral ambition of the Chairman of Centre for Management Development, (CMD), Tegbe.

Asides his intimidating credentials, he is also rumoured to be Governor Ajimobi’s  anointed candidate, a narrative that has been receiving various sponsored criticism.

The gubernatorial hopeful from Jegede compound, Oke Labo, Ibadan had a First Class in Civil Engineering from the prestigious University of Ife (now OAU). Apart from being a fat cat, Tegbe also enjoys strong connections. He is currently a Partner & Head, Technology Advisory & Markets at KPMG, a renowned international Accounting Firm.

There had been various campaigns to discourage him from joining the race, reliable sources within the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) hinted.

Also, another source who confided in our reporter disclosed that there has been a propaganda machine by some aspirants to dislodge him through various social media platforms, even some members of the state executive council, who probably felt if Tegbe joins the race, it will upset the apple cat.

With this bold move, political observers expect that Olasunkanmi Tegbe will officially make his political intentions known publicly in not too distance future, Mega Icon Magazine sources, however submitted.
