The Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Adeolu Akande, on Wednessday joined other Nigerians in congratulating former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala on his 70th birthday.
The Ogbomoso-born All Progressives Congress, (APC) chieftain who was governor of Oyo State between 2007 and 2011, was born June 3rd, 1950.
Akande, in his congratulatory message described Alao-Akala as an affable politician and respected political mobilizer whose impact on the political landscape of the sate is indellible.
“Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala has left his footprint in the sands of time and he belongs to the the group of political giants that make the politics of Oyo State tick. He made his mark as a politician who believes in human development and his tenure is remarkable for the positive impacts it made on the lives of many indigenes of Oyo State.
“I cannot but wish him more fruitful years on earth. As he reaches the milestone age of 70, we pray that God grants him.
more years in good health to continue his service to the good people of Oyo State and Nigerians at large”, the message reads.
