THE candidacy of Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku who is contesting for the House of Representatives, Ibadan Northwest/Southwest on the platform of Zenith Labour party (ZLP) was confirmed on Tuesday, at the mega rally of the party held at the ancient Mapo Hall, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
This has also laid to rest the rumour and speculations making the rounds about the authenticity of his ticket.
While presenting the flag to Ajanaku, the National Chairman of the party who led other members of the executive to the event, Chief Dan Iwuanyawu sent a stern warning to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to desist from threatening Ajanaku.
“If anything happens to Rotimi Ajanaku before, during and after the election, the state Governor and the ruling party should be held responsible. He has the right to join any political party of his choice to realise his ambition”, Iwuanyawu submitted.
Responding after collecting his flag, Otunba Ajanaku thanked the leader of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and a former governor of Oyo state, High Chief Adewolu Ladoja for his consistent fatherly supports. He also expressed gratitude to other leaders like Barrister Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, Chief Gbolahan Ajalaruru, Alhaji Abiade, the state Chairman, Comrade Oyewole Abisoye and others.
Meanwhile, Ajanaku further enjoined his constituents to get their Permanent Voters Card, this according to him is the only means they can use their votes for him to alleviate their eight years suffering of poor representation.
