THE Executive Assistant to Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state on political matters, and an All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant, Dr Morohunkola Thomas has said that he will not be distracted in his bid to becoming the next governor of the state, saying that no amount of sponsored blackmail would derail him from achieving the targeted goal.

Reacting to alleged malicious attacks against his aspiration via the social media, Thomas who has expressed confidence that the pendulum will swing towards him to occupy the Agodi Government House, also described those behind the attack as satanic agents.

Addressing newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital recently, the three term commissioner in the state, Dr Thomas, said, “in 1999 I became a commissioner and that was my first political appointment. I took the baptism of fire in terms of criticism, so, what is wrong in people criticizing you, what is wrong in people abusing you?”, he asked.

“Every criticism that is not constructive is devilish and satanic, in fact, they are satanic agents. I know there are paid agents on the social media even among you, people who have benefited from me they are now sympathizers of Unity Forum but it doesn’t bother me, when they criticize, it makes me stronger and no amount of criticism can derail me from this mission, it is a mission to take Oyo state to a higher level, it is a mission to preserve the legacies and good work that has been done by Ajimobi, and no amount of criticism will scare me from that mission.

“I am a very courageous person  and a thorough – bred Ibadan person, an Ibadan man is not afraid of being abuse. I am not afraid of a fight but, its going to be the fight of the brain and not of the hand”, Thomas added.
