Oyo 2019: Fuji star’s son, Yusuf Akande joins political race

ELDEST son of Fuji act, Taiye Adebisi Akande popularly known as ‘Taiye Currency’, Yussuf Adebisi Akande,  is readying himself to enter the political fray by running for Oyo State House of Assembly seat  at the forthcoming polls.

Yusuff, who graduated from Al Hikman University , Ilorin, Kwara state informed that his intention was to serve the people and proof to the world that the younger generations can do it better because “we are loaded with ideas on how to make things work better for the country.

He said, “our elders have tried their best, we appreciate them but it is time for younger generations to come on stage  and  put in our efforts in making our society better.

Yusuf, who is currently aspiring for Ibadan South West I  state constituency  under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continued, ” I have consulted widely and  I have been receiving positive responses  from the people, they want a younger blood with a fresh idea,  they want  me and I will not betray the confidence reposed in me.

“Each time I move round to talk to people about my ambition, I receive blessings from the elderly people, they are impressed by my decision to take the risk of stepping into the game.”
