AS political permutations and calculations toward 2019 general elections is fast approaching, former Governor of Oyo state, Otunba Adebayo Alao- Akala has dumped the ruling All progressives congress (APC) for Action Democratic Party, (ADP)
Otunba Adebayo Alao- Akala was presented the ADP Governorship certificate to be the standard bearer of the party in the 2019 general elections at the party Secretariat, Mokola, Ibadan on Sunday.
According to him, among the governorship candidates in the state, he’s the most experienced and qualified to pilot the affairs of the state come 2019.
While receiving the ADP Governorship certificate, Otunba Alao-Akala informed that his decision to contest for the number one seat in the 2019 general elections is to ensure adequate welfare of the people of the state through lofty programmes.
In his words, “my supporters who are still in the APC have the right to stay in any political party, including my son who is the current Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government”.
The ex- governor promised an inclusive government that will give priority to the welfare of the people in the state.
The Ogbomoso born politician described the ADP as the alternative party that has interest of the masses at heart.
This is the official declaration of the former Governor Alao- Akala from APC to ADP since his absent from APC Governorship primary election held at the main bowl of Lekan Salami sports complex Adamasingba Ibadan.
