SENATOR Ayoade Adeseun, a governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Oyo state has called for the cancellations of the party’s primary .

Adeseun alleged that the delegates’ list has been doctored, adding that many of his supporters have been removed from the lists.

The Ogbomoso born politician disclosed further that he has channeled his protest to the appropiate quarters and demanded that the date be shifted.

Speaking with newsmen on Sunday at the Liberty stadium, the venue of the primary, the ex-lawmaker informed that he had initiated a legal action to stop the process and would not hesistate to continue with the legal action if the issue is not addressed.

He maintained that he would not defect from the party which he has helped to re build after the 2015 elections

According to the lawmaker, “It may interest you to know that even in my local government, 57 names were fraudulently inserted into the delegates’ list.

“And people who were never delegates were brought in here. We have written a letter to the chairman of the primary committee that this process is seriously flawed. Because we knew this thing was going to happen; we suspected it and we wrote a letter to the National Chairman about 10days ago and up till today the Chairman of the party and neither the Secretary nor the Organizing secretary has replied. If as at yesterday, I could not see the delegates list until few hours ago, it shows that something is fishy and I cannot be a party to such an arrangement”.

At exactly few minutes after 1:00pm, Adeseun left the main bowl of the stadium aggrievedly in convoy of his entourage.

However, on the contrary, Mr Dare Adeleke, Director General, Seyi Makinde Campaign Organization debunked the allegations, describing it as unfounded and not valid because Adeseun was part of the process of selecting the delegates.

Adeleke insisted that the lawmaker left because he has seen a sign of defeat.
