Member representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, has congratulated a former senator representing Oyo Central, Ayoade Adeseun, on the occasion of his 73rd birthday.
Adeseun, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and prominent political figure in Oyo State, turned 73 on Friday.
In a statement by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, and made available to journalists, Oseni described the former lawmaker as “a cerebral and patriotic leader whose influence in Oyo politics remains far-reaching.”
The statement read in part, “I warmly celebrate our leader, Senator Ayoade Adeseun on his 73rd birthday. He is not just a politician of immense capacity, but also a leader whose legacy continues to resonate in Oyo Central and beyond.
“Senator Adeseun has played a pivotal role in the growth of our democracy. His courage, depth, and political foresight remain inspiring to the younger generation within the progressive family.”
Adeseun represented Oyo Central Senatorial District in the Senate between 2011 and 2015. He had earlier served in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011, representing Surulere/Ogo Oluwa Federal Constituency.
Oseni, who chairs the House Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), said the former senator’s contributions to legislative development and nation-building cannot be overlooked.
“On behalf of the good people of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, I wish our leader continued strength, good health, and many more years of impactful leadership,” the statement added.
