Hon. Oladiran Alabi, a former House of Assembly candidate for Ibadan Southwest Constituency I and a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the state party chairman, Barrister Isaac Omodewu.
Omodewu, who previously served as a commissioner in the state, passed away in the early hours of Monday while in the United States of America.
His unexpected demise has sent shockwaves through the political landscape of Oyo State, where he was highly regarded for his leadership and unwavering dedication to the party.
In a heartfelt statement, Oladiran described Omodewu’s death as a significant loss not only to the APC but also to the entire state.
He lauded the late chairman for his steadfast commitment to the party’s ideals and his tireless efforts in promoting unity and growth within the party ranks.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the leaders and members of our great party, the family and friends of the deceased, and the entire people of Oyo State. Oyo State has lost a leader who was not only committed to the progress of the APC but also to the development of our state. Barrister Omodewu’s legacy will continue to inspire us as we move forward,” Oladiran stated.
Oladiran further noted that as a pillar of development within the party, Omodewu’s death has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill shortly.
He prayed for the repose of Omodewu’s soul and asked for divine comfort for his grieving family.
