Governor Dapo Abiodun – led government of Ogun State has dismissed a report being circulated on some social media platforms claiming that the state governor, dissolved the State Executive Council (SEC).
An online news medium had reported that the governor dissolved his cabinet.
However, in a statement on Friday, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Kunle Somorin, described the report as not only untrue but misleading.
Somorin added that Governor Abiodun, having won his reelection, has continued to perform his functions as governor by working with members of his cabinet.
The governor’s aide who affirmed that the state exco is still intact as the governor has not directly or indirectly announced any dissolution, urged the people to disregard the report, which according to him is the figment of the imagination of the writer of the story.
