The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church International, Apostle Lawrence Achudume has emphasized the need for all ethnic groups in Nigeria to work towards the sustenance of the relative peace and tranquility being enjoyed in the country, noting that the country has come a long way as an indivisible entity.
He, also called on Nigerians irrespective of socio-cultural and religious leanings to intensify prayers for God’s love and mercy on the giant of Africa just as he identified corruption as the major challenge preventing the much desired socio-economic development in the country.
Apostle Achudume who threw these words of caution while speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Abeokuta,Ogun State about the nation’s diamond jubilee added that God has a purpose for bringing over 350 ethnic groups together in Nigeria, hence, those clamouring for secession must be well guided as God’s will shall always prevail.
Speaking further, the VLBC General Overseer said all hands must be on deck to restore the nation’s glory stressing the need for members of the Political class to be nationalistic in their day to day undertakings , for the nation to progress.
Commenting on this year’s Independence Logo, ’60 Years Together’, Apostle Achudume advised those in position of authority to use the occasion of the 60th anniversary to chart a new course for the country.
He averted that that the dream of having a strong, United and prosperous Nigeria as envisioned by the nation’s founding fathers is achievable.
