The National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State Chapter, has commended the Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Professor Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi for keying into the Zebra crossing project initiated by the association in the State.

gave the commendation on Monday while speaking at the inauguration of three Zebra Crossings located between The Polytechnic Ibadan/Ijokodo/Apete road.
She noted that the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan had promised to support the NAWOJ initiative during the inauguration of same project at the main entrance of the institution along Sango Eleyele road a couple of weeks ago.
The NAWOJ chairperson informed that the intention of her Association was to contribute to the efforts being made by government to protect lives of the people on our roads, adding that the effort of the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan was in consonance with the programme of her Association.
In his response, the Rector, Professor Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi paid a glowing tribute to the NAWOJ leadership for the initiative.
Adebiyi assured the association that the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan will always support efforts geared towards the betterment of the society.
In attendance were the Deputy Rector, Mrs Olubunmi Olubamiwa, The Registrar, Mrs Modupe Theresa Fawale, The Bursar, Mr Olawole Ojetola, The Chief Librarian, Dr Samuel Ajala, The Director of Works and Services, Engr Stephen Ipadeola and The chairman, Committee of Deans, Dr Ismael Oyefemi Oyetunji.
