NASS begins induction ceremony for 10th Assembly senators, members-elect

The National Assembly has begun the induction ceremony for Senators and Members elected to the 10th Assembly.

Mega Icon Magazine reliably gathered that the induction ceremony is intended to educate lawmakers-elect on the legislative business.

According to the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, this is extremely important as more than seventy percent of Federal Lawmakers coming into the 10th Assembly are first-time lawmakers.

On the leadership tussle in both Houses, checks revealed that some lawmakers elected are divided on how the National Assembly leadership should emerge.

While some lawmakers say the political parties should not interfere in the leadership choices, others say the parties should give direction in the form of zoning the legislative positions.
