.set to launch maiden album, ‘Baba Yanmife’
Folakemi Falade, an up and coming gospel music sensation, on Thursday revealed how she was motivated to become a gospel singer.
Falade, also disclosed that her talent and gift to sing is inborn, adding that her father, is a choir master/organist in Anglican Church.
“Actually, I can say I was born with music blood because my father (even at 85)is still a choir master/organist in Anglican church. I also grew up to be a member of choir in Anglican church throughout my childhood and ever since I got married”, she said.
Falade further explained that ultimately, she received the divine vision of singing God’s praises in a covenantal way.
The Ile-Ife born gospel act, however said that her adventure in music industry has brought some challenges on her path, though surmountable.
“Being a starter, I cannot say I have been faced by any significant challenge other than the stress of having to deliver my duty as a wife,a civil servant coupled with creating time for this divine assignment
Acknowledging the support of her husband, Oluwagbemiga Falade, a Deacon in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, in her music career, Folakemi said the co-operation and understanding of her hubby contributed greatly to the successful production of her new Song.
Speaking on her new vinyl titled “Baba Yanmife” which will be launched on Saturday in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, Mrs Falade said the album contains her great testimony.
According to her “Baba Yanmife’ cuts across every area of her life, adding “Truly, the Lord has been so good to me, His love for me is so thick that I can feel and touch”.
