Special One, Mourinho has been tasked with restoring the glory days after a barren spell

JOSE MOURINHO admits he will leave Manchester United for a new challenge one day.

SunSport exclusively revealed the Special One is set to sign a £65million five-year deal with the Old Trafford club.

Seeing out that contract would make it the longest tenure of his managerial career.

But the ex-Real Madrid chief is not planning on hanging around until retirement like Sir Alex Ferguson.

Speaking in French, Mourinho, 54, told Telefoot: “The only thing I can say is that I am still a coach with worries, ambitions, desires to do new things. I’m sure I will not finish my career in Manchester.

“The other day my son decided to go and watch a match in Paris rather than Manchester.

“Why Paris? Because right now Paris has something special.

“There’s a magic about the place, youth and quality. It’s fantastic.”

Mourinho’s efforts to converse in French, as well as his love for the capital will have Paris Saint-Germain fans hoping they can lure the highly-rated boss across the Channel.

But first he has a title to win in England, with his side two points behind old foe Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Premier League standings.

And the Portuguese tactician – who was apparently snubbed by Barcelona when his rival was hired in 2008 – claimed he could not yet reveal all the facts.

He added: “Maybe one day I can tell the truth. These are things of my career that I want to keep with me.”

United chief Mourinho was also quizzed about Paul Pogba, who was enjoying a solid start to the season before his hamstring injury.

And the man who brought the club-record signing to Old Trafford backed his charge to enter the history books.

He said: “He can make football history. He has talent.

“We have the balance in midfield to occupy space better. With [France team-mate] Matuidi, I think he isn’t happy.”
