Paul Pogba isn’t the only Manchester United star rapped by Jose Mourinho in the last week – Marcus Rashford has also been on the end of a dressing down from an unhappy United boss too.
Rashford was missing from United’s Premier League draw with Wolves at the weekend and the Carabao Cup exit against Derby on Tuesday night as he served the remaining games of his three-match domestic suspension
But the England striker was in the Red Devils side for the Champions League meeting with Young Boys in Switzerland last week.
However, he was substituted after 69 minutes of the 3-0 win over the Swiss side following a performance lacking spark.
His display against Young Boys didn’t draw the ire of Mourinho, but the United boss and his coaching staff weren’t happy with what Rashford did after the game.
The England striker was meant to undergo a full warm down, reports the Daily Mail, but did not follow the instructions of the coaching staff.
Mourinho subsequently hit out at Rashford who has had to settle for a bit-part role at United since returning from the World Cup.
That is frustrating the young forward, who is desperate for regular starts, but Mourinho has defended his stance in recent press conferences.
The 20-year-old is available again for United this weekend, when they travel to West Ham.
But he is likely to have to settle for a place on the bench once more.
Romelu Lukaku is the undoubted first choice No.9, while Alexis Sanchez – despite his struggles for form – will continue to start on the left, with Mourinho hoping he can rediscover his best.
Jesse Lingard is set to start from the right once more, with Mourinho of the opinion that United are simply a better team with the England midfielder’s energy and off-the-ball movement.
