The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has officially dissolved the institution’s 2023/2024 Students’ Union Executives Council.
This decision was announced on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, through a press statement signed by the institution’s Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Mr. Yemi Ajibola.
According to the statement, the dissolution followed the expiration of the executives’ tenure, coinciding with the commencement of the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session.
“The dissolution was as a result of the expiration of their tenure by effluxion of time, being currently in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session,” the statement read.
The management further directed that all members of the dissolved union should immediately cease to parade themselves as the Students’ Union Executives of MAPOLY.
“Consequently, the 2023/2024 Union Executives is hereby dissolved. Hence, they should stop parading themselves as Students’ Union Executives of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta,” the statement added.
Details regarding the election or appointment of new Students’ Union leaders are yet to be disclosed by the institution.
