MANCHESTER UNITED are set to be looking pretty in pink next season in their new away strip.
A picture of the pale pink and black kit is making it’s rounds on social media – but people aren’t convinced it’s the final product.
The full kit was posted by 101 Great Goals on Twitter months after a teaser picture of the colour combination was leaked.
United fans got their first look at the rogue kit in November with a picture posted by Footy Headlines that hinted at a bright pink base colour.
The new picture shows a paler pink version with black accents.
The shirt is relatively simple compared to the Red Devils questionable shirts of the past with the Adidas stripes running over the shoulders and black logos positioned on the pink background.
Social media reacted to the new look with a few questioning if it is a product of the red kit being put in the wash with the white kit.
Juan Torres commented on the post: “WTF did they bleach their kits”
Ollie Norris had similar thoughts: “You’ve bunged the red kit and the white kit in the wash together!”
There were also a few people using emojis to share their thoughts – mostly featuring the “vomiting” face or the “cry-laughing” face.
One twitter user @fahim1_ said: “When Man United get this pink kit the squad will become full time snap chatters and we will never win again”.
Though there are still some sceptics that think the design is fake but think the colour combo will definitely feature in the 2018-19 season.
The kit is reportedly inspired by the old Manchester Evening News’ “Football Pink” news section which was printed on light pink paper.
If the design gets the nod it will be the first time in the club’s history that United will don pink.
