A cheeky squirrel attempted to get front row seats to Manchester City vs Wolves.
The nutty rodent escaped stewards and ground staff at the Etihad Stadium to cause entertainment before the Carabao Cup tie.
The invader was first spotted ahead of kick off entering the pitch by the corner flag before City staff attempted to push it away with a fork handle.
That didn’t disturb the limelight for the squirrel as it escaped to scamper around the pristine Etihad surface.
One groundsman managed to grab it, but a bitten finger later and it was on its way again.
Another brave pitch attendant finally caught the creature for good as play was able to start on time.
The squirrel was eventually a good luck charm as City managed to squeak into the quarter-finals after a 4-1 penalty shoot-out win.
