Barely 9 days to the historic handing over ceremony from the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Governor Elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has asked Nigerians and Oyo state residents in particular to continue to pray for and support his administration in its bid to serve them better.
The incoming governor stated this on Sunday during a Thanksgiving service held at Living Spring Chapel International, Ibadan in honour of Engr Seyi Makinde and his Deputy, Engr Rauf Olaniyan.
The Governor Elect, Seyi Makinde in his remarks appreciated God for counting him worthy to be the next occupant of the number one position in Oyo state.
Makinde, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Omni Makinde said his administration will govern with the fear of God
According to the governor elect , his administration will cater for the welfare of the people irrespective of their culture,religions or Political affiliation.
In his sermon at the programme, the Presiding Pastor of Living Spring Chapel International, Pastor Femi Emmanuel noted that the best ways to receive more blessing from God is through Thanksgiving.
The cleric who is a motivational speaker described the victory of Seyi Makinde in the just concluded 2019 election as an act of God.
He, also urged the assembly to contribute their quota to the success of Seyi Makinde’s administration by being law abiding citizens and pay their taxes regularly.
“The only way government can improve on its Internally generated revenue is through taxes”, the cleric added.
The Presiding Pastor of the church, Pastor Femi Emmanuel later presented gifts to Governor Elect and his Deputy on behalf of the church.
