Mahrez spotted leaving Emirates Stadium

Riyad Mahrez was spotted leaving the Emirates Stadium after Arsenal‘s 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.

Arsene Wenger‘s side has reached Wembley and will play Manchester City in the final after Granit Xhaka’s second-half strike secured the win.

Mahrez, meanwhile, has been linked with both Arsenal and Chelsea, although Leicester City has insisted that the winger would not be sold this month.

But speculation could mount after the 26-year-old was seen leaving the ground after Arsenal’s latest win.

Mahrez was also accompanied to the game by his Leicester City and Algeria teammates Islam Slimani, who has also been linked with a move this month.

Arsenal is continuing negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but after his side’s win over Chelsea, Wenger was reluctant to speak about the transfer.

‘The best [thing] is I don’t talk about it. It wouldn’t help,’ he said.

‘If something happens it happens, if it doesn’t we are strong enough to focus on the players we have.

‘I’m perfectly happy with the players we have.

At the moment, we are open to strengthening the team but we are not close to signing anybody.’
