One of the prominent governorship aspirants in Oyo APC, Engr. Raufu Olaniyan has commended Governor Abiola Ajimobi and his Osun State counterpart, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state over the resumption of LAUTECH. He gave this commendation in a Press Statement issued by his media office which was made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Wednesday.
The APC chieftain maintained that with the resumption of the school, governors of both states have demonstrated that they are committed to the APC manifesto which gives priority to the education. He noted that finding solution to the crises wasn’t easy, but the governors demonstrated an excellent managerial ability to bring the crises to an end, and for this, he paid glowing tributes to them.
Also, the ex- General Manger of Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency, Olaniyan lauded lecturers and students of LAUTECH for the maturity and understanding they displayed through out the challenging period that beset the institution. He further praised them for keeping calm inspite of the difficult conditions the crises brought about. He stressed that understanding is an important ingredient of democratic setting. “They can now see the fruits of their patience and understanding which was a cardinal factor that contributed to the resolution of the impasse and the resumption of the institution”, he said.
In a related development, the governorship hopeful praised parents and other notable individuals who had contributed to the peaceful resolution of the crises that rocked the institution, while calling on all and sundry to join hands with the APC led government in Oyo and Osun states to ensure that LAUTECH and other institutions in the states continue to set the pace for others to emulate.
