Lam-Adesina delivers another dividend of democracy to constituents

THE spate of development in Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in Oyo state is a justification of the mandate to serve given to Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina.

No doubt, Lam-Adesina in the last two and half years has proven himself to be a leader who knows his onions and what his constituents want by giving them a new lease of life with various people -oriented projects he has put in place asides bills and motions.

With the believe in his aphorism that he who gives water gives life, the lawmaker through his programme dubbed ‘Omo Oloore Water Project’ has provided no fewer than 27 Water Projects at  different locations within the constituency which includes Kumapayi, Ile-Titun, Ode-Ige, Labo, Olorunsogo Felele, Islamic School, Bode, Oja-Igbo, Aremo, Koloko, Oke ’Badan and Olugbode, just to mention a few.

The former commissioner was received by inexhaustible crowd last week Thursday, 18th January, 2018 as he commissioned another six (6) newly constructed Water Projects at different locations within the constituency.

In Ibadan North East Local Government, where two of the projects were situated at Abayomi, Iwo-Road in Ward 11 and Oje-Atipe in Ward 6, the Community Development Associations, CDAs Chairmen, Chief Moses Adewakun and Alhaji Hassan Bello, in their separate remarks, commended the lawmaker for his efforts in ensuring that the council areas were not neglected in the distribution of dividends of democracy.

Acknowledging his efforts further towards fulfillment of his electioneering campaign promises, the two chairmen jointly assured him of the readiness of the associations and the entire communities to reciprocate the good gesture he has demonstrated when the time comes.

In a related development, the CDAs Chairmen of Odo-Oba, Oke-Suna and Ojolowo/ Kobomoje communities housed by Ibadan South East Local government, Alhaji Isiaka Inuolaji, Alhaji Yekini Owoiya and Alhaji Asimiyu Ogundeji appreciated the gesture extended to them by the lawmaker.

They unanimously declared him as the best federal representative that the constituency has ever produced, averring that his accessibility and timely intervention to the yearnings of the people makes him a unique politician.

The chairmen, however charged the All Progressives Congress, APC party leaders, executives and members in the constituency to intensify their support for the young lawmaker in his political sojourn. They promised to make good use of the water projects to better the lives of the people.

Speaking during the commissioning, the son of the late ex- governor of Oyo state, Lam-Adesina reiterated his resolution not to relent in his efforts in bringing more dividends of democracy to the people at every nook and cranny of his constituency.

As a good manager of resources who is in tune with the challenges associated with the use of boreholes in a country that is bedeviled with epileptic power supply like Nigeria, Lam-Adesina stressed that in his quest to ensure prompt water supply in all the boreholes, he had made available brand new generating sets with a view to ensuring that the constituents make use of it optimally.

While handing over the projects to the chairmen of the benefitting communities, the legislator tasked them to properly maintain and monitor the projects, sensitizing the communities on why it is pertinent to always look for good, traceable and credible candidate to vote for in any election.

The event was well attended by APC Chieftain, Chief Ayo Eniade, APC Chairman, Ibadan South East, Engr. Kayode Arowolo, Chairman, Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Jonathan Ogundinwin, and Ibadan South East LCDA Chairman, Alhaji Fatai Oloyede and his North East Counterpart Alhaji Dauda Odelade.

Others are Community Development Areas chairmen, Community leaders, youth associations and All Progressives Congress party leaders, executives, members and many other important personalities.
