Lagos Police Firmly Declare: No Forcing Our Hands in Mohbad’s Mysterious Death Investigation

The Lagos State Police have issued an unyielding warning, vowing not to succumb to external pressures as they delve into the enigmatic circumstances surrounding the demise of renowned rapper Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, widely recognized as Mohbad.

Mohbad’s untimely passing on Tuesday, September 12, shrouded in mystery, has triggered a groundswell of public demands for justice and a comprehensive inquiry into the case.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, underscored that the investigation would not be transformed into a sensational media spectacle.

Hundeyin made it unequivocally clear that the police would meticulously adhere to established protocols, even as numerous voices insist on the interrogation of specific individuals and the disclosure of Mohbad’s autopsy results.

“This is not trial by media. The right questions will be asked and answered at the right place, before the right people, but most importantly, at the right time,” he said.

“Our hands will not be forced. Nonetheless, rest assured that every single homicide investigation protocol is being followed, as there is zero tolerance for shoddiness.”
